What We Do

North River Air can move people or equipment in small aircraft nearly anywhere in Alaska. Our specialties are:

  • Remote transportation and logistics
  • Sky trekking, flight seeing, and other adventurous tours based on your planning
  • Lodge support
  • Off-airport landings on river bars, ridge tops, beaches, and other durable surfaces that do not harm the environment
  • Operations from lakes, rivers, protected ocean waters
  • Ski operations in the winter from any relatively smooth snow-covered surface
  • A wide knowledge of Alaska’s wildlife and remote places to assist you in planning your trips
  • Wildlife Survey
  • Aerial Telemetry
  • Aerial Photography

What We Don’t Do:

  • In-your face, one-size-fits-all tours are not our thing. If you need someone to hold your hand and make you realize the beauty of Alaska, we are not the operation for you.
  • Guided tours or trips. We are happy to take you to amazing places all over Alaska and let you observe and enjoy, whether we drop you off and pick up later or stay with you on a stand-by basis. Your pilot will be happy to share local knowledge as his expertise allows, but we are not a tour company and do not offer tours or guided trips. We charge on an hourly basis for all flying, not a per trip basis.
  • We are not a hunting Guide or Transporter. We do not offer any services beyond Air Taxi.
